The CapeCodCAN! four month Fall Art is for Everyone Program, with the first phase focused on art instruction and development, was conducted with 11 collaborating groups (approximately 95 participants) and each group led by a local Cape artists. The groups met in various locations spread throughout the Cape during the instruction and development phase of the program. All the groups worked to the common theme of the Natural Wonders of Cape Cod. Display and sales of art produced occurred at the Hyannis Art Shanties on June 3rd through 5th.
The instruction and development portion of the program was conducted from February, 2016 through early June 2016. This was followed by the exhibit and sales of the works created on June 3rd through 5th at the Cotuit (Blue) Shanty part of the Hyannis Art Shanties at Hyannis Harbor. Over 200 pieces of art work created by 94 student participants were displayed. Despite some weather challenges while at the shanty, customer attendance and appreciation were high and sales were brisk. Many of our program participants visited the shanty and were excited to see their wonderful works on display, as well as benefit from the sales during our shanty stay.
This program was made possible in part by the generous support of The Art Foundation of Cape Cod.
